M&G Staffing Co. is a home-based dental staffing company in New Jersey. We provide temp coverage for offices across New Jersey and New York, and help practices find permanent team members in other states too.
We place licensed hygienists, assistants, front desk, and dentists with practices that value teamwork and quality care. Our goal is simple: make staffing easier for offices and better for the professionals who fill the chair.

Meet the Founder
Hi, I'm Marissa Garafola, RDH.
I've spent more than 17 years in dentistry, and I still work chair-side today. When a practice calls us, they're talking to someone who knows exactly what a short-staffed day feels like.
I was born and raised on Long Island. My path into dentistry started at Eastern Suffolk BOCES, where I studied dental assisting and completed my clinical hours in a dental office. I loved the work from the start.
I kept working as a dental assistant all through college. That gave me years of hands-on experience before I went on to dental hygiene school in New Jersey, graduating in 2017.
01 / Perspective
I've worked both sides of staffing.
I hold active dental hygiene licenses in New Jersey, New York, and Florida, and I've worked temp and short-term coverage in multiple states. I know what it's like to walk into an unfamiliar office, learn a new system on the spot, and still give every patient great care.
I've also been the long-term team member, working part-time in permanent positions, including one office where I stayed until the dentist retired. That taught me what makes a placement last: the right fit, mutual respect, and a team that feels like home. Temporary or permanent, I bring both perspectives to every match we make.

Why I started M&G Staffing Co.
After nearly two decades as an assistant and a hygienist, I've seen staffing from both sides. I've been the professional walking into a new office, and I've seen practices struggle when someone calls out. In 2025 I founded M&G Staffing Co. to bring the right people together: skilled, licensed professionals and practices that value quality care.

Beyond the chair
People make the work meaningful.
My favorite part of this job has always been the people. There's nothing like the moment a patient asks for you by name on their next visit. That trust is what dentistry is really about, and it's what I look for in every professional we place.
When I'm not chairside or connecting great professionals with great offices, you'll find me traveling, spending time with family, or at home with my French bulldog, Millie. Traveling is how I recharge. I love seeing new places and coming home with fresh ideas and energy. Family keeps me grounded and is the reason I work as hard as I do. And Millie, like most Frenchies, has more personality than she knows what to do with. She's the first one to greet me at the door after a long day and the unofficial mascot of M&G Staffing Co.
